That picture is of LaVern and Nettie Peterson Wheeler. Uncle Vern and Aunt Nettie probably were having an anniversary or something special by the way they are dressed. He is a brother to gramma Mertie Sherman and also to Aunt Gertie Ingham. Now I imagine you know the geneology, so why am I telling you:) Uncle Vern loved to play horseshoes and I think every picnic we ever had at his farm, the men always had a game of horseshoes going after dinner. He was a fun loving guy and Aunt Nettie always enjoyed having family out to their home on Southwestern Drive, and I always liked to go there. One time when I was mad and feeling unloved, I packed my little bag and was going to run away from home. Their place was where I thought would be the best place, but I never got there. I thought it was close enough to walk, until I realized it wasn't, and so I went back home. We get strange ideas, when we are little, sometimes. Enough already...
