( The biography and will of the early English immigrant, Richard Hull is
transcribed from Col. Charles H. Weygant's "Hull Family in America". The data
on his children are mostly from Donald Lines Jacobus' "Families of Ancient New
Haven", a more complete picture than what is contained in Weygant. Absolute
documentation is missing for Richard Hull's origin in Derbyshire. Although
some sources state the immigrant Andrew Hull, also an early New Haven settler,
was a brother of Richard Hull, this has never been proven!! --Phyllis
